2020 Jeep Gladiator Engine and Off-Road Capabilities
When you think of Jeep, what are the first things that come to mind? Off-roading? Adventure? Travel? If you thought of all three of these words, you’re not the only one. For years, Jeep has been a symbol of adventure. The brand’s newest addition to the lineup, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, is no different. This Jeep truck is ready for every adventure you take it on. In this post, we are going to explore the engine and off-road capabilities of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator.
An Engine Designed for Adventure
Powering the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine. This engine delivers up to 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Engine Start/Stop technology helps to provide maximum efficiency. The Pentastar® V6 engine has a fuel efficiency of 16 city mpg and 23 highway mpg. Additionally, this engine helps the Jeep Gladiator tow up to 7,650 pounds.
Equipment That Can Tackle Every Terrain
While the engine helps with power and towing, other equipment helps you tackle the different types of terrain you’ll face while off-road driving. The available TrailCam Off-Road Camera will help you navigate off-road areas by displaying helpful gridlines for finding the best path. Off-Road+ will make adjustments to the throttle, transmission shift points, and traction control to get over rocks and pass through sand dunes. The standard heavy-duty Dana® 44 front and rear axles help protect the Jeep Gladiator when climbing.
